Mission Statement:

To teach young athletes through the game of Lacrosse – a love of fitness and competition, a resilience of spirit in the face of challenge and a belief in the principles of teamwork and sportsmanship.

Our History:

The Liberty Lacrosse Club is for boys in grades 1-12 who live in the Liberty and Hazen High School attendance areas. Founded in 2009, Liberty Lacrosse formed its first Division II Varsity Lacrosse Team. In 2012 the decision was made to add youth teams for both 5/6th and 7/8th grades to begin play for the 2013 season. Also for 2013, Liberty Lacrosse will field Varsity and Junior Varsity High School Teams.  In 2014, Liberty Lacrosse continued it's growth by adding a team for 1st/2nd and 3rd/4th graders and expanding all existing levels.

Vision and Values:

The goal for Liberty Lacrosse Club is to be a strong, permanent fixture in our youth sports landscape – promoting a positive environment that enables our children to learn and excel in Lacrosse while exemplifying the program’s core values of integrity, pride and respect for others.

The Liberty Lacrosse Club is dedicated to organizing, developing and promoting the sport of lacrosse within the South Issaquah community. The club seeks to honor the game by instilling values of leadership, academics, sportsmanship and teamwork while fielding competitive lacrosse teams throughout the program. Liberty Lacrosse Club is committed to serving its community.

About The Game:

Lacrosse is a contact sport that bears similarities to basketball, soccer and hockey, and is more about coordination and agility than brawn. It is one of the fastest growing team sports in the US with 500% growth in the last ten years. In Washington State, Lacrosse has grown 123% in the past five years with approximately 4,200 youth and high school students registered. The season is February through May. There are also summer tournaments and Fall Ball sessions providing opportunities to be a year round sport.

Program Funding:

Liberty Lacrosse is not a school-sponsored sport therefore the participants cover all expenses. Field rental costs eat up most of our budget leaving few funds for equipment, uniforms, tournament fees and coach training. Additionally, for those families who are unable to afford the program fees we would like to grant scholarships.
